On Thursday, May 12th we held “The Art of TikTok”, a multi-speaker event introducing our clients and partners to the strategic potential of TikTok. Joined by exclusive speakers from TikTok and two of the biggest content creators in Greece, we deep dived into what it takes to create a winning TikTok strategy. Looking at real-world TikTok success stories, including our agency’s own viral moment on TikTok, we explored how brands are using TikTok to reach brand new audiences.

TikTok is a burgeoning global video app, which launched to global markets in 2017 and amassed 1.1 billion active global users by early 2021. The app’s stratospheric growth has been attributed to a number of factors, including the pandemic-induced lockdown, which accelerated its rise in the first quarter of 2020 (during which the app was downloaded 315m times). A number of factors differentiate it from other social media platforms and can be said to have contributed to TikTok’s rapid success. The most compelling and persistent reason for its rapid growth remains the nature of its short video-format, which resonates with today’s viewers. As one article in the Economist titled, “TikTok’s rapid growth shows the potency of video” claimed: “TikTok’s rapid rise demonstrates a clear preference among social-media users for video content.”

During “The Art of TikTok” we delved into TikTok’s popularity and what makes the platform so successful on a global and national level.



During our exclusive event, we had the privilege of hearing from Fanis Theodorou, Brand Partnerships Manager for TikTok Greece, who dived into the TikTok market in Greece.

We also had the honor to be joined by Giuliano Cini, Brand Lead TikTok Italy & Greece, who spoke about unlocking the power of TikTok’s entertainment factor in both markets.



Showcasing the great potential of TikTok in Greece, two of our clients, Nak Shoes and Fitness Meals, spoke about their experience as early adopters of TikTok Ads. Both clients quickly saw great results, reaching entirely new audiences, boosting performance and converting awareness into purchases.

Two of the most successful Greek content creators, Persa Papasouli and Fanis Labropoulos, shared their own tips for creating winning content and talked to us about their route to success.


Diving further into what makes great content on TikTok, Nick Broumas, Managing Director at Reach Agency, spoke about creating content that is relevant and data-driven.

Lastly, we were delighted to present our own case study, our agency’s TikTok profile, which reached 1 million views in the span of one week and created a trend in 5 European markets.




Following the talks & Q&A, we had the chance to catch up with our clients and celebrate the night’s enormous success with a rooftop party overlooking the sunset over the Acropolis.
