Relevance is a proud supporter of Thermia Project 2026 and the Exhibition “Convivial Gestures”.

This year, we are proud to support Thermia Project through its Patronage Programme and the contemporary art exhibition “Convivial Gestures.”

Taking place from 4 to 19 July 2026 at the Primary School of Chora, Kythnos, the exhibition presents new works by artists Kyveli Zoi, Yiannis Malinakis and Polina Miliou, developed during their residency on the island in May 2026. Curated by Odette Kouzou, the exhibition is open to the public with free admission.

Art in dialogue with everyday island life

“Convivial Gestures” explores the small yet meaningful actions through which people coexist, communicate and form communities.

Meetings at the local café, spontaneous conversations in village squares, traditional celebrations, music and shared moments become the starting point for an artistic dialogue around the social and cultural fabric of Kythnos.

Through painting and sculpture, the three participating artists interpret the island’s everyday life, traditions and collective memories, exploring the relationship between people, place and shared experience.

Thermia Project

A meeting point between contemporary art and local life.

Thermia Project brings contemporary artistic practice into dialogue with the island of Kythnos. By inviting artists to spend time on the island and engage with its residents, traditions and everyday rhythms, the project supports the creation of work that is closely connected to its social and cultural context.

Through this exchange, the project becomes a space where artistic research, local memory and community experience come together.
